(She/her)

Calm Waters is excited to welcome Natasha Etherington to our team as the new facilitator of our Social Anxiety Group. Natasha brings a compassionate, optimistic presence and a wealth of clinical experience to her role, along with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges.

Natasha holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and has supported children, youth, and families in various healthcare and community settings. Her professional journey includes working with Fraser Health as a crisis counsellor on the Paediatric Emergency Response Team, as a Horticulture Therapist, and as a Supervisor at Foundry Ridge Meadows, where she supported youth aged 12 to 24.

Her therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy and resilience, blending evidence-based modalities including Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT for Couple Therapy. Natasha is known by her friends and colleagues as kind soul and an optimist!

Beyond her clinical work, Natasha is a published author and horticultural therapist. Her book, Gardening for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Special Educational Needs (Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2012), earned the American Horticultural Therapy Association’s Book Publication Award in 2014. She has applied horticultural therapy in both long-term care and elementary school settings, integrating nature-based activities into therapeutic practice.

Natasha’s optimism and extensive experience make her a valuable addition to Calm Waters, and we are thrilled to have her support our clients on their journey toward confidence and connection.
