DBT Based Skills group is a chance to learn some of the fundamental DBT skills from each of the modules: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness. DBT Skills Group (Virtual – Open to Adults Across BC)
This DBT-based skills group offers the opportunity to learn and practice foundational skills from all four Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) modules: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Unlike comprehensive DBT programs, this group does not require a 6-month commitment, making it a flexible way to build practical coping tools and strengthen your emotional well-being.
Participants will learn skills to:
Reduce intense emotional ups and downs
Manage stress and difficult emotions more effectively
Communicate and set boundaries with greater confidence
Stay more present and grounded in daily life
Build a personalized toolbox of coping strategies
This group may be helpful for individuals experiencing anxiety, emotion dysregulation, borderline personality disorder (or related traits), relationship difficulties, and other emotional or behavioural challenges.
