Youth Skills Group: Emotion Regulation & Distress Tolerance

If your emotions feel like a roller coaster, or they skyrocket from 0-100, if you’re struggling to find a steady baseline, or if you find yourself filled with anxiety, even if the ‘trigger’ seems small- you’re in the right place. This skills group helps you build the tools to regulate emotions, cope with stress, get through a crisis without making it worse, and make decisions based on reason and emotion (not just emotions). We are teaching fundamental skills from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy’s Distress Tolerance & Emotion Regulation modules, as well how to understand and name emotions. The facilitators will help you apply these skills to situations that are important to you.
